1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using Thumbloom (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The service
Thumbloom generates YouTube thumbnail images from the briefs and inputs you provide, using AI models. AI output varies run to run and is provided for you to review, choose from, and edit.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for your account and for the activity under it. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13). Keep your login secure.
4. Plans, credits & billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. Generations consume credits at the rates shown in the app. Free-trial terms are shown at checkout. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals. Except where required by law, payments and used credits are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Thumbloom to create content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes others' rights. Don't upload reference images or a person's likeness you don't have the right to use, and don't impersonate others. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Your content & ownership
You retain all rights to the inputs you provide and the thumbnails you generate. We don't claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for how you use the thumbnails you create.
7. Marketing use of generated content
You own your thumbnails. You retain all rights to the images you generate with Thumbloom. Nothing here transfers ownership to us.
Limited promotional license (Free and Creator plans). If you are on a Free or Creator plan, you grant Thumbloom a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and adapt thumbnails you generate for the purpose of promoting Thumbloom — for example in our showcase, website, social media, ads, and other marketing materials. Featuring any given thumbnail is at our discretion; we are not obligated to use any of your content, and we do not pay for content we feature.
Your face is never used without separate, explicit consent. Thumbnails that include your likeness (for example, those made using a Persona) are excluded from the license above. We will not use any thumbnail containing your face in our marketing unless you separately and explicitly opt in to that use in your account settings.
You're in control. You can turn off marketing use at any time in your billing settings. Turning it off — and removing your face-consent — stops any future use of your content. We will make reasonable efforts to discontinue use going forward, but we may be unable to recall or remove content from materials already distributed or published.
Pro plans are always private. While you are subscribed to a Pro plan, none of your generated thumbnails are used in Thumbloom's marketing, including any that contain your face. This applies for the duration of your Pro subscription.
8. Third-party AI models
Thumbnails are produced using third-party AI services. Their handling of inputs and outputs is governed by their own terms. See our

9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” AI-generated output can be inconsistent, inaccurate, or unexpected, and we don't guarantee any particular result, quality, or performance (including click-through rate).
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thumbloom is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
